Taleb, a principal at Universa Investments LP whose 2007
\nbestselling book<\/a> argued that history is littered with rare
\nevents that can\u2019t be predicted by trends, also said he would
\nrather hold euros than dollars, even as the region\u2019s sovereign-
\ndebt crisis persists. \u201cEuros have Germany<\/a>, the dollar has
\nnothing,\u201d he said at a conference in Moscow. <\/p>\n

Taleb made similar comments at the same forum last year,
\nsaying \u201cevery single human being\u201d should bet Treasuries will
\ndecline because of the policies of Federal Reserve Chairman Ben Bernanke and President Barack Obama. Bernanke has pledged to
\ninject dollars into the U.S. financial system and cut borrowing
\ncosts by buying $2.3 trillion of Treasuries and other assets, a
\ntactic known as quantitative easing. <\/p>\n

\u201cAs skeptical as I am about Europe<\/a>, I prefer it by far to
\nthe United States<\/a>,\u201d said Taleb at the conference, hosted by
